Straight Billiard

Just look at the grain on this sandblasted Billiard. It’s fantastic. Tight, rippling growth rings travel around the bowl in distinct waves, becoming especially prominent and proud from the bottom of the bowl, up the front face, and around the left side of the pipe. The shape reads predominantly as a Billiard, though the bowl’s subtle flare and added fullness toward the heel bring in just a hint of that Brandy. The blast accentuates the grain while still respecting the clean simplicity of that familiar silhouette.

That said, Michele adds some personality to the shape with a beautiful Brentegani touch: fine, colorful accents and a satisfying olive-green ebonite stem. I really like his use of the olivewood and amaranth accent rings. Together, they introduce just a bit of flash at the transition without competing with the briar. It’s simply a great looking Billiard with a bit of Brentegani worked into the details.
